The IVI is actively involved in promoting young talents, especially in the training of:
- Students at the Universities of Bern and Zurich
- Doctoral and post-doctoral students from Switzerland and abroad
- Biology lab technicians
As part of its cooperation with the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Bern, the IVI is responsible for teaching and research in the fields of virology and immunology.
